Only available exclusively in Japan Only available in Japan, the Toyota sera modified is a wildly created automobile from the nineties that would not look out of place moving through the filthy streets of the blockbuster Hollywood film. Although it's more than 30 years old, it will likely be featured in a movie depicting an unimaginably distant future
A major departure from Toyota when it was released in 2000, the Sera stood out from its more sporty sister, the second generation MR2. In contrast to the MR2's focus on performance and style, the Sera focused more on design and technology.
A sculpture on Wheels
The Sera is a stunning automobile-glazed masterpiece with large curved glass areas. The "roof canopy" comprises six distinct sections, giving passengers and drivers incredible visibility.
The car was first shown in 1988 with the AXV-II concept car. Its monologue structure is backed by mechanicals and running gear from the highly acclaimed Starlet and the solid Paseo.
Butterflies, not Gulls
The openings of the Sera were modeled after those on the more recent McLaren F1; the Sera's doors were supported by massive gas struts and counterbalanced by secondary struts. Each door opens with a minimum clearance of 43 centimeters.
They were often called 'butterfly' doors due to their impressive speed and unique hinges. They were joined in the rear by the large single-curved hatch made without a steel frame.
Simple yet Reliable Performance
The slender Toyota sera modified under the hood is a subpar power plant, particularly considering the fact that Toyota offered a variety of much more exciting engines at the time.
Because of the 1.5-liter inline-four engine that produced 100 horsepower, the Sera could reach 60 mph in about 12 seconds, and it was made of glass, which isn't very thin.
Chic Interior Styling
The interior is as impressive as the Sera appear on the outside; the retro style has been able to stand through the years with the bolstered and deep sports buckets that look modern and appealing. Like the individual and extremely comfortable seat squabs in the rear.
Advanced Options
If you want to make a statement with their wheels, they can add stripe and sticker packs, a telephone/fax combination, ski racks, window tinting with patterns, and extremely useful parking sensors.
For those who want the best sound experience for their home, the Super Live Surround Sound system can be selected. This would mean installing 10 speakers, a large subwoofer, the Digital Sound Processor, and two CD players.
The Tuner's Choice
The Sera has earned a huge fan base. Many prefer to change the look with large wheels, body kits, or even a color change.
Some take an alternative route and prepare the car to do a little rallying as a tribute to its larger Celica sister. This is accomplished by adding lights for the pod, a race trunk spoiler, lighter Enkei alloy tires, and the crucial Mud flaps.
Smells as good as It Is
Buyers can opt to have two interesting air conditioners and air fresheners fitted when buying the Toyota sera modified. The "Clean Ace" model was a stand-alone unit installed inside the roof light and designed for smokers.
